Tube Weaning Clinic

We are a multidisciplinary feeding clinic passionate about supporting children who are receiving enteral feeding (eg via their NG/PEG/GJ tube) to eat orally using a positive, non-invasive, child centred approach. Unfortunately, this approach is not yet the norm worldwide, and we are determined to change this through direct intervention, education, and ongoing research.

To begin your journey with The Paediatric Feeding Clinic, your child will complete our comprehensive, multidisciplinary assessment process. This will involve a qualified speech pathologist, occupational therapist, dietitian, and/or physiotherapist. The assessment process is a crucial step, as this helps us understand the reason behind why the tube was placed, and determine whether it is appropriate for your child to participate in one of our intensive tube weaning programs.

Once your child has completed the assessment process, we will provide you with your own team of feeding therapists. With our multidisciplinary feeding team, your child will be well supported to ensure that they are able to reach their full potential!
